SAVOR THE RICHNESS OF THE PROVENCAL TERROIR
The vineyard of Clos de Caille enjoys an exceptional terroir in Provence.
Located 35 km northwest of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, it spans 120 hectares between the Green Provence, Dracénie, and the Heart of Var. Our terroir is predestined for great wines, with Clos de Caille cultivating primarily 7 grape varieties, transitioning to organic, to produce rosé, white, and red wines under the AOP Côtes de Provence designation.
Our dedicated winemakers diligently tend to our vines using rigorous cultivation practices, always in pursuit of Excellence. We harvest each plot individually and vinify them separately to extract the maximum potential from each before the final blending in our “chai d’œuvre”, designed by the renowned architect Rudy Ricciotti, who also created the MuCEM, among other works.
EACH GRAPE VARIETY TELLS A STORY, ELEVATING OUR WINES

???? GRENACHE: This grape embodies the soul of many Provence wines. It brings aromas of ripe red fruits like strawberries and raspberries, with a hint of spice that adds character to blends. Grenache lends our wines a pleasant roundness, fullness, and warmth on the palate, making it perfect for sun-soaked meals.
???? SYRAH: Known for producing spicy, robust, aromatic wines that age well, Syrah evolves to offer notes of vanilla, cigar, and candied red fruits. This grape adds structure and depth to wines, making them ideal for heartier dishes like grilled meats and spicy cuisine.
???? CINSAULT: Traditionally used as a table wine grape, Cinsault is prized in Provence for its finesse and freshness. It adds a refreshing and fruity nuance to wines, balancing the strength of other varieties. Cinsault is an excellent choice for light, refreshing rosés, perfect for summer aperitifs.
???? MOURVÈDRE: A late-ripening grape, Mourvèdre produces rich and powerful wines. It thrives near the sea and yields wines with well-defined, fine tannins and aromas of spices and garrigue. Mourvèdre adds complexity and aging potential to Provence wines, pairing wonderfully with Mediterranean dishes and aged cheeses.
???? ROLLE (OR VERMENTINO): Originating from Liguria and long cultivated in Provence, Rolle is both robust and of high gustatory quality. For white wine enthusiasts, Rolle is a must-try. It offers subtle aromas of citrus, pear, and white flowers, with a refreshing palate. Wines from this grape are perfect for accompanying seafood and summer salads.
???? CARIGNAN: Grown on hillsides with low yields, Carignan produces robust, generous, and colorful wines that form an excellent base for blends. This rustic Provence grape contributes to the structure and longevity of wines, making them ideal for pairing with traditional dishes like stews and casseroles.
