An exceptional terroir, a centuries-old winemaking tradition
LE CLOS DE CAILLE: A FAMILY LEGACY
The Clos de Caille has long been closely linked to the vine cultivation. Indeed, it was founded in the 12th century.issue century by the Cistercian monks of Thoronet Abbey who simultaneously built the Abbey of Cîteaux in Burgundy.
Inked in the heart of the Green Provence, Our vineyard embodies the elegance and richness of its terroir. Each vintage tells its story., shaped by the Mediterranean climate and the geological characteristics of our soils.
It was in 1992 that Jean-Pierre and Simona Mariotti passed away. the charm of this secluded spot, a haven of peace in Provence. With 7 hectares, only 2 of which are vineyards, they set out to turn this gem into fertile land for production of distinguished wines.
Surrounded by their three children, this couple, who are in love with Provence, embarked on a massive renovation project to turn the Clos de Caille into a exceptional vineyard. Since then, the estate has continued to expand.
In 2019, we began construction on our «Chai d'Œuvre» designed by the internationally renowned architect Rudy Ricciotti. Equipped with the best facilities and operational since 2021, the first vintage of the Clos de Caille, we wanted to combine beauty and practicality.
In 2024, we will continue to expand the property by purchasing the Domaine des Bruguières., adjacent to the historic Clos de Caille estate, bringing the total area to 160 hectares in one piece, including 40 hectares of vineyards certified as organic.
