OUR 3 MASTER CUVÉES: A HAUTE COUTURE WINEMAKING APPROACH

A deliberate choice, between tradition and modernity
In 2025, to assert our winemaking philosophy — a subtle balance between heritage and innovation — we envisioned a new setting for the Estate’s most iconic wines.
This new packaging reflects our desire for distinction, while preserving the integrity of the wine. It also embodies our deep commitment to elegance, quality, and a positioning that is increasingly affirmed among Provence’s most promising Estates.
This approach is a natural extension of our exacting standards in the cellar, notably through whole-cluster pressing and lees ageing, always as close as possible to the fruit.
It is guided by the founding values of the Mariotti Family: humility, passion, and high standards.

A crucial transition to reveal the soul of our terroir and the authenticity of our approach
For our Têtes de Cuvée, each grape variety is carefully selected for its balance, intensity, and its ability to reveal a unique expression of the Clos de Caille terroir. At every stage — from vine to ageing — we pay meticulous attention to detail: whole-cluster pressing, lees ageing, minimal intervention… Every effort has been made to preserve the integrity and natural richness of the fruit — the true gift of Nature.

 

CLOS DE CAILLE ‘PATRIUS’ – 2021
Gastronomic Red Wine

Deep, structured, and profoundly elegant, our red Tête de Cuvée Clos de Caille ‘Patrius’ pays tribute to the man who inspired the creation of the Wine Estate: Jean-Pierre Mariotti.
Its name, derived from the Latin patrius — meaning “paternal” — embodies heritage, lineage, and the transmission of founding values.
With aromas of dark fruits, precious woods, and soft spices, it expresses an inner strength, inherited wisdom, and a caring rigor — reflecting the visionary behind this family journey.

70% Syrah (24 years old) and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon

CLOS DE CAILLE ‘LUCIS’ – 2023
Grand Blanc from Provence

Crafted by Matthieu Cosse, Clos de Caille Blanc ‘Lucis’ 23 is a tribute to the late Lucia, mother of Jean-Pierre Mariotti, who embodied grace with rare intensity. This great white from Provence reveals a complex bouquet of white fruits and floral notes, while the palate offers balanced harmony, aromatic freshness, and refined expression.

CLOS DE CAILLE ‘CLARISSE’ – 2024
Age-worthy Rosé Wine

In honor of Clarisse, daughter of Jean-Pierre and Simona Mariotti and now a mother herself, this exceptional cuvée embodies the soul of Clos de Caille—a true testament to family values.
The 2024 vintage, crafted by Matthieu Cosse, is born from the harmony between Grenache (60%) and Cinsault (40%), showcasing the sensitive expertise and artisanal rigor of our winemakers.

« From Monaco to the Var, and beyond »

In the latest issue of Terre de Vins, Frédéric Hermine recounts the family journey and career of Mathieu Mariotti, a Monegasque entrepreneur who transformed the Provençal mas surrounded by 7 hectares of vineyards — acquired by his parents in the early 1990s — into a true wine estate dedicated to Excellence, in the heart of Provence.

Thanks to significant investments, surrounded by talented collaborators and his siblings, Mathieu has elevated the wines of Clos de Caille to match his ambitions. A meticulous craftsmanship rewarded once again by the Rosé Tête de Cuvée, Clarisse, which received a score of 94/100 in a blind tasting.

Clos de Caille ‘Clarisse’ 2024
AOP Côtes de Provence | Organic Certified (AB)

This cuvée is named after the youngest sister in the Mariotti family, Mathieu’s sister. It is a parcel selection of Grenache and Cinsault (Syrah and Rolle were dropped for this vintage). Crafted with whole-cluster pressing and lees ageing, but no longer aged in barrels since 2023, following the decision of Matthieu Cosse. A wine with character and beautiful volume, featuring aromas of sweet spices and exotic fruits that linger on a flavorful, savory finish.
