Geography
Located between the communes of Entrecasteaux and Saint-Antonin-du-Var, just 35 km northwest of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Clos de Caille spans 160 contiguous hectares, straddling Provence Verte, Dracénie, and the Cœur du Var.
This terroir, destined for producing exceptional wines, has been thoroughly studied through detailed soil surveys to map the unique features of Clos de Caille. Our research confirmed that this distinctive geology is perfectly suited for the production of remarkable crus.
Although its proximity to the Mediterranean provides the benefit of a temperate climate, Clos de Caille also enjoys significant temperature variations thanks to its elevated location, nestled at 200 meters above sea level.
The Estate’s topography is defined by gently sloping hills, ideal for hillside viticulture. Beyond the harmonious charm they bring to the landscape, these topographical features also enhance sun exposure for the vines and ensure optimal drainage during rainy periods.
